World Diabetes Day celebrated at Mayo Hospital, Lahore

On 14th November, 2017, World Diabetes Day was observed at Mayo Hospital Lahore. On the same occasion, Diabetic Foot Clinic was also inaugurated at Mayo Hospital Lahore. Primary objective of this seminar was to bring awareness to diabetes mellitus. Main focus was to bring awareness to different complications of diabetic feet to prevent ulcers and amputations.

We would like to thank Dr. Arshad Siddiqui (Diabetologist & Podiatrist, Mayo Hospital Lahore) for inviting our team to display our unique and specialized articles. Hope Rehabilitation Center displayed their huge variety of products with a special focus on items for diabetic foot ulcers prevention and its effective treatment. Our prime objective was to bring awareness among professionals who are dealing with diabetic foot ulcers on daily basis. Audience included professors of Medicine, Plastic Surgeons, Endocrinologist, Rehabilitation specialists and post graduate students. Hope Rehabilitation Center extended their full support in professional development of first of a kind diabetic Foot clinic in Mayo Hospital, Lahore.

World Orthotics & Prosthetics Day-GC Faisalabad

On 17th February, 2018, World Orthotics and Prosthetics day was celebrated by School of Orthotics and Prosthetics, GC University Faisalabad. We would like to thank GC University for inviting Dr.Khalid Khan Niazi (President, Hope Rehabilitation Society).

Purpose of this gathering was to bring awareness of Orthotics and Prosthetics field. A walk led by Professor Dr. Abid Rashid (Director Medical Sciences) and various staff members brought awareness to general public about discipline of Orthotics and Prosthetics. During the event, Dr. Khalid Niazi gave a presentation on modern upper limb Prosthetics including state of the art Myo-Electric and Be-Bionic technology. Presentation was very well attended. Students showed great interest in modern technology during Q&A session.  Dr. Niazi also offered training and internship opportunities for the students of GC University. Dr. Abid Rashid mentioned that MOU will be signed very soon. Concluding session of the seminar was addressed by honourable Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali (Vice Chancellor) who in his speech emphasized on adoption of the latest robotic technology and its application in the medical field. Diabetic Foot Seminar & Workshop at PC Hotel, Lahore

An Interactive Workshop for Diabetic Foot Ulcers was held on 30th January, 2018 at PC Hotel, Lahore. Hope Rehabilitation Center displayed their huge variety of products with a special focus on items for diabetic foot ulcers. We would like to thank Dr. Arshad Siddiqui (Diabetologist & Podiatrist, Mayo Hospital Lahore) for inviting our team to display our unique and specialized articles. In this interactive session, we discussed different complications with diabetic feet on actual patients. Audience included professors of Medicine, Plastic Surgeons, Endocrinologist, Rehabilitation specialists and post graduate students. The major objective of this workshop was to bring awareness among professionals who are dealing with diabetic foot ulcers on daily basis.

Diabetic Patients who haven’t had any ulcers yet but are at risk for its development, some special products such as silicone gel insoles, pressure-relieving orthotic insoles and specialized diabetic foot-ware such as ‘DARCO’s Gentle Step’  were presented. Diabetic Patients who have had any ulcer depending on its severity, several products were demonstrated. ‘DARCO’s Wound Care’ Shoe System was demonstrated in detail which provides treatment of diabetic foot syndrome, open wound and ulcers.

Presentation on Role of Orthotics & Prosthetics at University of Lahore

On 9th January, 2018, this presentation was given by Dr.Khalid Niaz Niazi to the medical students of University of Lahore on a special invitation by Consultant Orthotpaedic Surgeon Prof. Dr. Imran Salim Malik.

Purpose of this presentation was to give exposure to the medical students regarding the field of Orthopaedic Rehabilitation and Prosthetics. During this presentation, Dr. Niazi demonstrated various type of modern artificial limbs.

Prof. Dr. Imran Salim declared that very soon medical faculty of University of Lahore is going to be the most modern medical teaching institution in Pakistan. Here are a few  clicks which gives a glimpse of this successful event.
